The Kuhho 716 have a good review on Tire Rack and the price is right ($65), but before I buy I wanted to know if anyone has these on their Max. Any comments on the 716s or Kumho in general? (Since I live in the NE, need good snow and rain traction)

Kumho doesn't warranty their tread, so I would stay away. I went through a set in about 9000 miles. Getting them replaced right now....

 

Not according to Tire Rack. They state on their web site that the 716 have a 50,000 mile warranty:

Well the 716s are on and I must say for $65 each and a 50,000 mile warenty these tires are a good deal. So far dry handling is better than the stock Toyos, the ride is more controlled, much less road noise and less jarring being transmitted from the road into the cabin.

I will post an update this winter when the snow starts.

 

I had the tires and they did come with a warranty.
I loved them, considering the money I spent.

First test in the rain today. I was unable to break them loose like I could with the Toyos from day one. Can't wait to try them in the snow.

 

Well snow came early in the Northeast this winter and I had a chance to give the 716s a try sooner than expected. No problems! Handled the snow and ice fine, never felt uneasy when driving. Even tried to break traction by giving it the gas and did not set off the traction control !

So rain, snow, dry performance is very balanced. The Kumho HP 716s are a good deal if you are looking for an all season tire, and the price ($65) can't be beat !

 

I put these on about four weeks ago. We have had big rains, ice and snow. I think the traction in all weather is much better than the Dunlops I had. Very satisfied.

 

also have them on , but i went with 225-55 R16 - instead stock 215 size - have a bit of flexing while cornering hard but other than than they wear very even , much less noise than old Michellins
price wise 716's can't be touched - it cost me total $480 to have them put on the car including shipping/mounting/balancing
