Kumho KH11 Tire Pressure?

I recently purchased and installed 4 Kumho KH11s because they were highly recommended on tirerack.com
Now I think it was a mistake – it’s a very rough tire. I lost my comfy ride, which I had on my stock Potenzas.
Steering wheel feels every little bump on a road.
Has anyone played with a tire pressure on these or similar tires?
Should I reduce tire pressure, so the ride will be softer? How much then…?

Thanks.
Val.

Just great...

I'm very soon gonna get new rubber and after researching (for days) came to the conclusion to go w/ the KH11's.

They're really noticeably rougher?

i definetely wouldnt go below 32. i was thinking maybe you were running higher like around 42. i know its late now but i thought the kumho MX would have been a smoother running tire. maybe they didnt have them in the size you needed though.

i personally wouldnt do it for reasons of lower mpg, wearing the outside of the tread and what feels to me as a decrease of stability in corners. i run 35psi in my 235/50/17 michelin a/s. im planning on replacing mine with nitto 555 in 235/45/17 and running around 38 psi. i woudlnt think 30 is a huge change but i personally wouldnt lower mine, just my opinion.

I hear you....
But cornering for me is not important; my driving style is not aggressive. I need a comfy ride and good traction on dry and wet roads.

Funny how reactions are different - my Kumhos feel a little stiffer (slightly rougher ride) and I have the PSI at about 34. Plus they cold spot a little.

But I'm not particularly bothered because I was looking for handling and wet traction, and they're much, much better. And they're only a little rougher, possibly because they're wider (I know they're the same size, but they definitely bulge out of the stock rim farther). So I recommend them.

I just bought a new set of Kumho. I also was having a rough ride at 35 psi. I lowered mine to 30 psi. Ride is better but still rough. I think its just the type of tire.
