I know the 5th gen stock 17's are about 50+lbs each and I just found out that my Antera 18's are 28.5lbs ea. Is this the average weight of aftermarket wheels?

 

It's a little on the heavy side, most 18s are around 25lbs.

The stock 5th gen 17s should weigh about 24lbs I hear, the 50+ is including tires.

Then again my 18x7.5 TE-37s weigh 16lbs each

 

I'll have to take my tire/rim off and put it on the scale.

a good goal for "lightweight" wheels is 1 pound per inch of diameter, though most "lightweight" are slightly over this. also, the wider the rim the heavier the wheel. Our bolt pattern, 5x114.3, is one of the heaviest, requiring a fairly wide and heavy midsection.
