I Can"t Figure Out Who Made These Tires Help!!!

Hi,

I purchased a used 2000 GLE from a dealer recently. The car has new tires but there is no brand on them they say "Radial GTH SRX 5000" on the side, they are 215/55/16 M+S 91H.

The dealer doesn't know where they got the tires (I guess they keep tires in stock and they don't remember where these can from). I tried Discount Tire, TireRack, BJ's and TownFair Tire with no luck.

I want to know if they are a decent tire or if I should be replacing them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, do you like them?? If you do, then why fool around with them? If not, then you should think about replacements.

Well actualy they have a ****ty ride over 70 mph (a little shimmy and they have been balenced twice) and I'm not sure how they will be in the snow. My thinking is if they are not recomended for the Max I can probably get the dealer to change them out...

Well if the manufacturer can't be bothered to put them name on the tires, how good can they really be?

Right on!

The tires are likely crappy, but if your happy or ok with them drive 'em until they need to be replaced then get something better.

It may either be a Cooper or Stinger. Not exactly sure but it's a guess.

Well, first real snow today in Boston... first thing I did when I made it to work was order a new set of ContiExtremeContacts from tirerack.com, I was not pleased!
