Guaging Interest on a Whelen Strobe Kit Group Deal

Hey everyone, I'm just posting to see if there is any interest in a group deal for Whelen Hide-A-Way Strobe Kits. Specifically, the Whelen S690CCCC, which is a complete 90-watt system because that is the most powerful kit I sell, and seems to be the most popular kit here on the Org. The Whelen S690CCCC kit includes (1) Whelen CSP690 90-watt power supply, (4) Whelen HA238C clear strobe bulbs, and (4) 15' strobe cables w/connectors.

The group deal would need to have somewhere between 15-20 people, and the group deal price would be from $200-$205 plus free shipping, which is usually another $10.

For those of you that don't know me, I co-own an emergency warning company, and we are authorized dealers for Whelen, Federal Signal, and Nova. I have sold this exact kit and others to numerous members on this board, all of whom can say they had great transactions with me, and could not be happier with the products they purchased.

So basically, just post a reply if you would be interested in a group deal for this item. I don't want to have to go through the process of setting up a group deal, and people backing out and what-not.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at kirk@kdlighting.com.

My favorite position for hide-a-ways aren't headlights. They look hot in the corner lights and turn signals on 4th Gens. But they can be installed in the headlights. However, with HIDs on you cannot really they them too well, especially if you have a 7000k and higher kit. I have a 7000k Purple/White kit and you can barely see the strobes when they are on. The HIDs are just too bright, and reflectors in the headlights are too big for the strobes to seem really bright against the HIDs. When I am responding on calls, and it's not really dark outside, i turn off my headlights and just keep on my foglights...this way everyone can me coming!

btw, i got your PM

I have two videos of this same kit in action when I first installed them in my new maxima about 1.5 years ago. The only problem is that you cannot really capture strobes in action on a camera because they are flashing too fast for the camera's frame rate. So the strobes don't look anything like they do in person. Email if you want to see the video though.

The free shipping, which is the regular price of $10 for every order for a strobe kit, is included in the discounted price of the kits. Why would you be able to save another $10 for picking up a kit? It would still be either $200 or $205 depending on the # of people that sign up. Sorry. Plus, I will be UPSing all packages, so most likely NO PICK-UPS.

So, basically you would be saving 10 dollars and not passing along the savings. I'd only be saving 5 dollars with this GD then.

Sqard, I don't think you're understanding what I originally posted. Here is the breakdown of what you'll be saving through this group deal:

Normal Price of S690CCCC kit = $210.00
Normal Shipping = $10.00
Total = $220.00 shipped

Group Deal Price of S690CCCC kit = $200 or $205 (depending on # of people)
Group Deal Shipping = Free
Total = $200 or $205 shipped

So you are saving either $15 or $20 through the group deal purchase, rather than buying from our website or me normally. You are getting a $10 discount off the kit itself, and free shipping which is $10. Sorry, if this was not clear in my original post, but I can no longer edit it to change what I wrote incase people don't understand.

Yes, I understand shipping is about 10 dollars that you save here, but for me thats an extra wasted 10 dollars. What i'm saying, is if i bought it regular price for 210, I could go pick it up. If I bought it in a group deal, I would get it for 205 and not have a pickup option.

Yes, and I understand what you're saying, but there's no pick-up option anyways if there wasn't a group deal occurring...so you're saving $15-$20, not $5.
