Hello everyone,

I am in the process of shaving the Maxima emblems off the trunk and would love the GTR emblem. Would anyone know where I could get one and approxamately how much. Or if there are any other suggestions about what to do after it is shaved besides leaving it blank.

Thanks in Advance

I have one!

Don't worry, it's new, still shrink-wrapped in plastic, and the 3M paper has never been peeled off the sticky backside. How much do you want it for?

You can also get them at http://www.skylinegtr.com

It is under mechandise and they are charging $48 for it. They are the peopl who import the Skyline to the US. You can also get the side badges for $36 a piece. Little pricy for me, but that's the only place I know to get them.

simple

just peel off the wax paper backing to it. just like a nomal sticker, and tape the sucker on. but just takes a lil hand n eye coordination to get it straight.. i would use a leveler.. but then agian i take badges off, never put on my own car.

I am also interested in buying 1 GTR logo. Are they made of metal or plastic. What is the difference in prices between the plastic and metal ones.

How do I......

Remove the front nissan emblem on my '99 Maxima. Is it held on with glue? Do you think the GTR emblem will look good in the front. Does anyone have pictures.

How do get M A X I M A emblem off

How do I get them off? If i just peel them off won't it leave marks? I have the gold package or whatever, and the gold is starting to fade out a little bit, so I either need to replace them, or just take them off and add the GTR symbol which looks cool - how do I get them off and not leave marks on the trunk?

I just did it this weekend. Simply take dental floss and slice it like cheese. Then there will be the adhesive left.
Just use a hair dryer or heat gun and it peels pretty easy.
Then wax the surface to protect the paint.

you can also use wd40 spray it and wipe off with short strokes. u dont' wanan smear everythign all over the place. and wash with car washin' detergent right after. i dont' think wd40 will harm the clear coat but just incase..

Just installed mine this weekend..

I found a good quality GTR logo for only $20 Canadian including tax!! I have a black Maxima and was scared that I might scratch the paint. I used dental floss and wd40. I the dental floss doesn't come into contact with the paint at all and the wd40 worker like magic. To remove the access glue I sprayed it with wd40 and peeled it off with my fingers. No scrathes at all!! I'll post some pics soon!

Did the Nissan emblem have 2 posts protruding out the back, or was it just like the Maxima emblem? I have been reading some other posts and some people say that there are post on the back of the Nissan emblem that leave little holes in the trunk. If you or anyone can clear up this issue for me it would be greatly appreciated. BTW I have a 98 SE if it matters. Thanks

the Nissan comes off the same as MAXIMA easy no holes or anything,on the front if you take it off there will be 2 holes in the grill where the Nissan emblem was and the grill is shaped from the factory for the Nissan emblem and the GTR will not fill up the spot nice I had the same idea but I did this, where else on the front would you put it?

Your car is not a GTR Skyline... So why do you have to put a GTR emblem on it...

That is about as bad as the people who put Integra "TYPE-R" badges on their bottom of the line Honda Civics
