Are the rear mirror covers removeable?

Are the rear mirror covers removeable?

Are the painted portions of the rear view mirrors removeable or is the whole mirror assembly basically one part? It also feel like you can pop these portion out. The reason I ask is that I want to get the painted surface done in chrome to look like the Audi S4/RS6/S8 and Cefiro rear view mirrors.

Yep, a lot of Cefiros come like this. It's a JDM part, but I don't want to pay the $230 price.

yes, they are held with 3 srews back there, you can't just pop them out. You do not need to remove the mirror though. Very carefully pry the mirror out of the housing and you will get access to the screws. Same way VERY carefully pop it back in.
