welp, my automatic '95se tranny has been having lots of trouble in reverse for the past 10k miles... were it has to rev to about 2-3k rpm before it "catches". The sad thing happened today, the reverse is tottaly gone. I can redline it like its in neutral when its in reverse and the car wont budge. I found that out in a parking lot, where I had to open the door and push it backwards to get out of - embarassing.

So, knowing that I have to get a new tranny asap... should I try a transmission fluid flush to see if it helps at all? My tranny has 105k on it, and so I know it would be dangerous to the tranny to do my first flush now, but what do I have to lose..? Or is it just a total waste of 80$ to get it flushed..... ? Thanks!

Darnit, I wanted a 5spd conversion, but I don't have the money, I needed another month outta this tranny before I could afford it Oh well, the goodside is, looks like I'll be getting wheels in about a month hehehehe

You had a warning 10K miles ago and should have taken action then. Too late now.

$80?

I paid like $105 or $110, man I got jacked... My personal opinion, why put any more money into it; save the $80 for the new trasmission.

I was on ebay and there's a guy that had a tranny there w/ 52k. It's for like 550 shipped, check it out. if you have no luck, shoot me and email cuz i have the guys address that is selling the tranny. BTW he wasn;t selling the tranny on ebay. He was only selling the engine, BUT he mentioned that he had other parts including the tranny. *GOOD LUCK*
