MEVI + ECU or Supercharger??

There's obviously a significant difference in price, but I am wondering which mods would be more worth the money. I am thinking about supercharging my max, but just want to know if it would be worth it to save the money and just do the mevi and ecu upgrades.

um...depends what you want. supercharger is just raw beefy power, isnt as good for the engine, more stress and wear, but has more power. Mevi and ECU improve drivability, passing power, etc, but wont make you as fast, and gives no where as near the ammount of power.....both?

Unless you know how a SC works and how to fix it when belts shred or how to tune your fuel system, I'd stay clear of the SC. You really need to know how everything works. The SC also kills mpg.

The MEVI is a relatively simple bolt-on and the ECU is just a plug in. It's not the same power as the SC, but it does make the VQ significantly quicker, requires no upkeep or maintenance, and doesn't hurt mpg. It's also a lot cheaper.

i agree with dave like usual...super chargers are a large increase in power, make it a totally different car. they also require a lot more work, and time. mevi makes more power than stock, and ECU takes care of that mid range power dip. it balances out well, and you get a more fun car to drive.

well put Dave, if you don't mind the tinkering needed for a SC and you feel you are mechanically inclined enough then go boost. Want mods that you can just slap on and not have to worry about then go ECU/VI.

go for the mevi/ecu and pocket the rest of the money. spend the rest on other goodies. dont blow it all in one shot.
