I was just thinking, i got my max about a 1/2 a year ago used. Should i reset my ECU, to conform to my driving habit and also because in installed a K&N Cone air filter to get the full potental out of it.

(I know...this is noob question. Sorry)

sure, youll get a little crappy gas milage, but thats it.

 

Clearing the codes by turning the screw does not "reset" the ECU. It only clears the codes.

Resetting the ECU is not needed anyway. It is always learning.

I think this is pretty true cuz when I put the Flowmaster on my car and stuff my car seem to have a bit more power, liek my tire taking a bit more time grabbing....I dunno but it did kinda change.

 

If the ECU was always learning, piggy-back computers and/or S-AFC's would be useless on boosted cars since the ECU would always override their settings.

 

you can reset it by turning the ECU screw clockwise, all the way. Turn on the car, motor running, and turn the screw all the way counter clockwise...

They do.

If you program too much correction in an S-AFC, the ECU overrides it.
