Debating on which model to get to replace my CDA-9815. I really want a monitor up front so I'm going to sell my 9815 that's 3 weeks old. Anyway, it looks like the 1006 has a better monitor, but I like having the functions on the front (1004) so the screen doesn't have to be opened. Sure would like some input from you guys that have had either of the two.

The 1006 has two inputs as opposed to the one on the 1004. Also, the 1006 has 4v preouts.

Personally, I like the cleaner look of the 1006. Also, if you have a chance to examine both units in person, you'll notice that the 1006's screen and motor mechanism is much more sturdy.
