I got rear ended last week and need a new bumper and trunk lid. My question is, will a 97-99 trunk lid fit on my 96 the way it is? What about the bumper? Can I get another 96 bumper or does that have to be a 97-99 to fit the trunk lid?

If this all fits, then I can sell my rare 95/96 red/clear taillights and get 97-99 red/clears. What do you guys think I should do?

You should do it, and it will work, In a way I want to get rear ended so I can make the same move, but then again, i don't wanna wish for anything bad.

 

If you put a '97-'99 trunklid on a '95-'96 bumper, they will have contact at the bottom but it will close and function perfectly. You will just be scraping the bumper when you shut it.
If you put a '97-'99 trunklid on a '97-'99 bumper, everything will work perfectly and bolt right on.
