Those with aux. fuel pump

I have a walbro in-line fuel pump waiting to be installed.
I was wondering if the rate of fuel to the engine is going to be limited by the stock fuel pump.

Did you guys just leave the stock one in and add the aux?

Your base FP might go from 34 to anywhere near 40-43psi because of the highpressure pump. Then you will need a FPR to lower it since the oem is not adjustable.

But it will work just fine. No problems.

Thanks for the response, the manual says the base fuel pressure is 51 on the 2002. I have a fpr also (which will require me to add a return fuel line), but I am still debating on using a fuel rail off fitting or not.

Check out these pics, I have 2 Stock regulators: http://www.total-x.net/fprhelp.html

Do you think I should just add the fuel rail off fitting to the one on the right where the fuel first enters?

Damn 51psi? You right. Well then you most likely wont need an FPR.

Its not two regulators, Believe on your 2k2 they are dampers because you dont have a fuel return system.

All you need to do is tap into the fuel feed and feed one end coming from the tank into the IN of the aux pump, and the OUT of the aux pump going into the fuel rail.

Yeah the manual says at idle the fuel pressure should read 350 kPa or 51 psi.

I think I will still add the FPR just to be safe and add a return line coming from that.

Since I have fuel dampers, does this mean I don't need to have the fuel rail off fitting and just leave them as they are?

Thanks for your help Dixit.

See problem is I dont own a 2k2 and known enough about how this fuel returnless line system works. If you add an FPR then that means you will need to take the return and create a T on the Fuel send line say BEFORE it enters into the aux pump. Remember put it BEFORE the pump, not after it where it goes into the Fuel rail.

Also going to need a T after the aux pump and one end going into the fuel rail and the other going to the FPR.

Agreed. I'm just going to have to figure out if I need the fuel rail off fitting or not.
I'll play around with it.

Thanks for your help.
