problem with tranny???

i recently had the transmission flushed on my 02 auto SE and now from time to time 1st gear seems to be slipping... ill give it gas and it will rev high(4-5k rpms) and then ill get a sudden THUD... as if its just catching.. the fluid level is fine.. it doesnt do it in any other gear just first and its only when i start from a stop.. its not constant only occasionally... any ideas?

Where did you have it flushed? They could have used some contaminated fluid if it was not a well known place that does good work. They could have even used the wrong fluid.

I am so happy, sorry Gabe22. Mine has been doing this in second gear since the trans was replaced. Good luck getting it fixed, Nissan has no clue whats wrong. One dealer thinks its the TCM but it never does it when he is in the car. Mine started at 15k miles and yes uses all Nissan parts and fluids. Good luck on the fix, sorry I couldn't help. If you figure it out or fix it, please let me know. Everyone thinks its just me and I want rid of the car because I don't trust it anymore. Again sorry, but it is nice to know that someone else is having the same problem. Also, Gabe if you like, PM or Email me I can give you the customer service reps name and my file number at Nissan, perhaps we can get this fixed. Chris
