cars running like crap again :(

well here it goes....

I took the battery out of my car to start up the mustang (did alot of starting because the fuel lines are dry and its a mechanical pump, etc) then when I put it back in my car I had a new starter (whole swap thing with Davebond). Now it is really crappy starting, and the maxima should be a much easier engine to start compared to the mustang. I'm not sure if its my battery or the starter.

So I put my battery on the charger, but only for 2 hours because then I had to go down to costco with my mom and sister (then pickup my dad from some place). Long story short car was idling like it would with the VTC's grounded and it died on me twice.

I'm not sure what's up with it, but its wayyyy too cold out tonight to deal with it (doors on the mustang are frozen shut ).

And the worst part is since the parents were in the car they would get ****ed when I tried to toss a few pulls in on it. "Shawn stop it!" arrrg. felt like it was low on power, but now that I think of it, there were 3 other people in the car, so maybe that was it still doesnt explain the idling. I guess tomarrow I'll test all my injectors.

thats my story for tonight.
oh yeah and my car was completely frosted over

You need to get rid of that Costco battery and get a spiral cell.

You also need to stop racking up miles driving your parents around -- drive them around in their own rig. :P

Listen to Chris, Shawn... Suck it up and get an Optima yellow/red top. Darn Costco, and darn the man!!!

And as a rule of thumb, you won't get better pulls with mom and sis in the car (unless they weigh about as much as Barbie dolls).

Food for thought... now go do the dishes!

Ok I think I found my problem. One of the vacuum hoses was disconnected from the back of my intake manifold. I'm not sure yet because the car only has a crappy idle when its warm, and my car is 7 bolts away from having the upper intake manifold taken off.

The funny thing is its the hose I use for the seafoam, I wonder if it just wiggled off?
now that I think about it, that probably happened (stupid motor mounts )
