Yet Another fog light issue.

My fogs won't come on. I just purchased some kobas for them and when I tried to turn them on last night they wouldn't. I checked my moms car to see if the lights were faulty but they worked in here car. The lights are H3's. I checked the relay box and guess what no relay. So I purchased a new relay for it off of partsbin.com. I got the relay yesterday in the mail and I installed it yesterday. So the next thing I checked was the fuses. I replaced my foglight fuse with another 15 watt fuse. No light yet. I am trying the light by turning the HL's on and pressing the foglight button next to the cruise control button. What do you think could be the problem now? Could my foglight harness be burnt out? My dad is taking it to a shop so the can do a voltage check on the harness.

so I am assuming you took your gxe and found the connectors at the lights, and behind the console. If you have both of them plugged up and the relay and fuse in then the only thing quick I can reply with is...

are you trying them on low beam? The fogs turn off when you switch it to high beam.

I tried the high beams and nothing happened. Does the car have to be on when you want the fogs on or could the car be off and just turn the Headlights on and press the fog lamp switch?

maybe you wired it wrong so that they only come on with the high beams? turn on your brights and look (itll be bright) to see if your fogs are on

There was no wiring involved because I have the stock fogs. The previous owner must have had them put in. I am still thinking of problems why they are not coming on. I have new lights, new relay, and a new fuse. So now I have concluded that it must be the wiring. I am going to have it checked out if I can't figure out the problem by the end of next week. Is it possible for the harness to burnout? They only thing I can thing of is that when the lamps were put in someone wired it wrong or didn't connect it to the relay. I am going to a Nissan dealership anyway next week to order some new signal light glasses (cracked) and a new fog light casing (cracked and yellowish) (If I figure out the problem)

take the part around the steering wheel off and look to see if the switch is hooked up. Chances are that if he didnt even put the relay in then he didnt plug the switch up. Also check to see if the he plugged the lights themselves up to the wiring harness.

I dont think the harness is burned up...probably just not hooked up.
