"bubbling" seat fabric on '04 SE

My dad has an '04 SE with frost cloth interior and the fabric on the driver's seat is pushing away from the seat cushion in a number of areas (mostly the side bolsters on the seat back and bottom). It almost feels like there is cardboard under the fabric which has become misformed and is pushing the fabric away from the seat. Has anyone else seen this?

I don't know if this is related, but there is a bubble on the leather trim on my center console arm rest that is getting fixed next week. If you push it down, it sticks for a second to the base, then pops back up. Hopefully this doesn't become a common occurence...

Yep!

I noticed the exact same thing today in my front driver's seat and in my middle back seat. Didn't give it much thought until now!!

I had the same thing happen to my center console arm rest. My problem is that I cannot replicate it for my dealer. The bubble formed when I was at a higher altitude (6,000 to 10,000 ft) and when I came back down it was unnoticable. The dealer thinks I am hallucinating.

Could it just be the frost seats? I don't have that problem on either the seats or the console. I already have close to 22,000 miles so you know my *** has been in that seat for many many miles. No problems yet.

As far as the seats, I don't know... For the armrest - I have black leather and am having this problem so I don't believe the color makes a difference.

I live in Cheyenne, WY which is at about 6200 ft so this may have something to do with it. Hopefully I don't have a problem with the replacement!
