Ran better times in my 6th gen...

I went to the track today hoping to run a 14.6. anyways my first run was a 14.7 and the second was a 14.7. Third run I lowered my pressure a tad in the front and got a 14.397@96.58. I removed spare and jack, and raised tire pressure in the rear. Had a half tank of gas. Im a stock 6 speed other than the k&n panel filter. link to slip:http://www.imagestation.com/mypictur...&id=4193991200

A maxima member pointed out that they had the date and time all screwed up. I dunno whats up with that but I ran the time today. temps where in the 60s with low humidity.

damn, very nice!

Post that in the timeslip queue up above so we can enter it into the official moderated timeslip registry. This would be the best 6spd time and fastest 6th gen overall time to date.

Im honored I guess! Yeah Its weird because I have pulled 2 2.0s outa nowhere, any other run its a 2.3 or 2.4. Never a 2.1 or 2.2. Maybe Ive got the clutch slipping just right and its just my launch rpm that determines if It keeps traction or not. anyways I was thrilled about the times, NEVER thought my car would do that but I left after that run, I figured I would leave it at that. thanks for the compliments guys!

Great times A half a tank a gas is quite a bit too. I usually run with under a 1/4 tank.

GREAT TIMES !

2 questions though, you doing these times with oem tires? Had they just gummied up the track, prior to your run?

I hope to have some of your luck/skill this Spring. Best I've ever done (with Auto, which is more predictable than Manual) is in sig. For me, dropping 2/10th's on the 60' would equate ~ 14.36 1/4 mile, that's using the 1/10th 60' 2/10th 1/4 mile rule.

They prepped the track some but nothing extreme. I was on stock tires, raised pressure in the rear and 29 in the front. I installed the injen CAI recently and I may be going to the track soon.
