Best place to mount tweeter?

For those of you who have components in the front, where did you mount the tweeter? I was gonna put it on the top curved part of the door near the hinges, but because it is slightly curved it's probably gonna stick out some and look unprofessional. Any recommendations on where to put it? Also, what is the best way to insure that I drill in the same location on both doors?

Looks good, but I'd prefer the door simply because I don't have enough slack in the tweeter wire to run it that far. Don't wanna waste any more speaker wire to lengthen it because I don't even know if I have enough for what I need.

Yeah that's what I was talking about when I said the curved part ^^^

How did you measure where to cut the hole and make it the same on both doors?

I don't have a pic, but I mounted mine on the sail panel on the door (the flat part in front of the window) with double sided tape..

well check my page it comes down to this are u concerned about security, look, or sound? In my application I placed my tweets high!! Why beacuse where are ya ears located by ya feet, lower chest, or head? That deals with the sound portion, now for the look the flush mounts in the door will have a great look but me I have a concern about getting water and other elements hitting the door there. Which also wraps into the security aspect. Unless u have some killer limo tint up on front windows which most of us dont u leave those dome tweets sitting at eyes site for any passer bys. Now if u like having ya car appraised likr u are in the diamond district by everyone that passes ya car then dont sweat it. So in my app i used my tint bars up front to hide my front tweets and in the rear i used the rear door handles and car design to hide the rear ones. Let me know if this helps

also do u plan on keepin the car? otherwise what will u do with the small whole that is in the door panel? I never leave my beat in the car i take all!!! plus with teh dome tweets in a high postion you will get a better sound image more natural no phase out. Are you using a DSP aspect in ya deck or EQ if so then u can compensate for the lag and impurfections of the car.

i stopped using cross-overs they leave the possibility to introduce noise into ya system, I try to cross-over or have my audio signal altered way before the amp, with less electrical possible interference. just a thought. Plus use hella good inter-connects!!! I have to pick up my ZN6's today

I was woundering about that, but I didnt want to blow my spot up. lol, all I did was remove the Bose emblem and the black paper stuff. I am going to paint the speaker pods black in the future. I think it will look better then.
