I'm getting close to completing my sound system upgrade in my car. Only thing left is to install the drivers side speaker and run the wire to the trunk.

Well the front passenger side was simple... I poked a hole through the 2 grommets that connect the door and car and ran the speaker wire through it. Easy.

Now I'm on the drivers side though, and as you know there is a crapload of wires blocking my path to the grommet. Is there a trick to getting to that grommet, or do I have to remove the whole entire door which I realllly don't want to do. Remember all I gotta do is run a speaker wire through it. Tomorrow I guess I'll try snaking the speaker cable through that mess of wires, but the problem is getting to the grommet and poking a hole in it.

Thanks for any help guys. I really wanna get this done tomorrow, it has been taking wayyy too long to install everything.

 

i had to run 4 sets of wires for my window modules through that grommet...needless to say it's a b#$^%##. But i got through by using a wire hanger folded at the end with the wires taped around the fold. I then pushed it through and got it in. make sure to use a wire hanger than can bend easily but is till firm enough to go through.
