power steering pulley fell off.

My power steering pulley fell off while I was driving down the Autobahn. The car was still driveable, there was just no more power steering. My question is, is the car driveable until I can get a replacement? Or does that pulley also operate other things such as the water pump, etc? Thanks

the water pump is driven off of the same belt as the power steering so if you lost the pulley there wouldn't be any tention on the belt and therefore your water pump won't work. you should get that pulley replaced before you drive it anymore.
