Hey you live in Houston, maybe you and me can meet up if you start your turbo project, I could help you out with install and see what it takes to install a turbo on a max. I plan to go turbo this summer. For a kit expect to spend 4000-4500, installation about 600-800. I could help you install. If you want more things like bigger injectors fuel management expect to spend another grand. People in Houston have quoted me like 5500 dollars for a crossover pipe turbo kit and about 5000 for reverse y-pipe turbo kit. They have a group buy from PFI in the group buy section for 4000 dollars.

Carboys is crap! Lightspeed seems to be really repitable, but they charge out the ***. Go to www.houston-imports.com/forums and ask the guys there. Carboys has blown up a couple of engines trying to dyno tune cars and they say they are not responsiable, so I would call some other places. I could help with the install, probally take us 2-3 days for install.

for all that trouble just buy a good kit here for muchmore less and install it yoruself. Not hard just time consuming. Consumption of time does not mean its hard. Just be patient!

If you dont have the means to support the turbo... I would say to forget it. Buying and installing the turbo are just the beginning. Frequent tuning will be needed and 6.25 and hour wont help you at all. Wait till you've stacked a few thousand first man. Just being honest because I've been through it.

Very true since most performance shops charge $75 + per hour for labor.
