K&N and the plight of MAF Sensors

I'm about to get my Frankencar intake some day, and opted for the cheaper K&N. What's this I hear about the K&N oil killing off MAF sensors?

Over-oiling does, plus not letting it dry up long enough before putting them back in. I never have problems with such and I've been using K&N cone filters since 1995 in differen't vehicles that I've owned and not one time did I kill a MAF sensor.
