Time Slip : thoughts and comments
Wanted you guys to check out these slips and see if you think the car can beat 14.26 with just a better run, and no additional mods. Im guessing the car would have a chance. I went to the track with a negative attitude because it was a much hotter day than when I got my PB. But the weight reduction must have been more significant. (around -70 pounds)

I find it odd that on your best run you ran almost 2 mph faster than your other runs. For someone as consistant as you, that seems a little out of place. For the 14.27 run it seems as if you could have just shifted slower...but who knows. Nice 60' on that run too. I honestly don't know how much more time you can shave off without getting more mods. Aside from more weight reduction....I think you car has pretty much had it's best run in current form. But please, prove me wrong, I know it's in you.

Wasn't it only in the lower 60s
The coldest weather I've run in is mid 50s and I really don't see much change unless it's extremely hot. Hell, I've run 14.45@97mph in 85 degree weather so the heat doesn't play a huge factor, especially if it's below 70 degrees outside. Anyways, there is something really strange going on with your 1/8 and 1/4 ET/MPH. The ETs are all very consistent in relation to 60', but your 1/8 MPH to 1/4 MPH don't make much sense at all and I'm left to think the track's trap speed boxes weren't functioning right. Here's my rational:
1/8 mile 79mph traps for a NA 4th gen is unreal, whether is has the MEVI or not. Then look at the ending 1/4 MPH of 96.Xmph. This means you were only gaining 17mph in the final 1/8? I don't think so. 5 speed 4th gens with decent drivers get at least 20mph and if they have the MEVI/JWT then 21-22mph is the norm. 3 out of your 4 runs were 96.4mph which is quite normal for your car. The 98mph trap is way out of place for the 1st run, but the 1/8 mile trap is normal for your car's performance (looking at your older slips). The other runs show out of place 1/8 MPH, but normal 1/4 MPH. Your ETs across the board are completely normal for 60'. IMO, the trap speed boxes were off the day you ran. Your car is much like mine is that it's VERY consistent on the same day. Your ET supports this, but the MPH is wildly off. I've seen this happen before, even with my car. Depending on the day I'm running, my MPHs can be really strong, but my ETs are normal. MPH is an indication of power to the wheels and gaining/loosing 2-3mph would mean a big loss/gain of power somewhere. The fact that the car is getting the same ETs in relation 60', the change in MPH just doesn't make sense for the car and points the finger at the trap speed boxes.
Case in point, one day last May (80 degrees) I went out and was running consistent 14.5@93-94mph with 2.20 60 foots. I was perplexed because I thought something was wrong with my car, but my ETs at every point along the run were completely normal and even my 1/8 MPHs were normal, but the final MPH was at least 3mph low. I was only gaining 17mph in the last 1/8 where I usually get 21mph. I began asking around and everyone was scratching their heads because they were 3-5mph slower than normal. I went out to the track two days later (80 degrees) with no changes to the car and was running 14.5s@96-97mph.
As getting another PB, sure isn't possible assuming you can drop your 60'. With drag radials, I think lower 2.0/upper 1.9s are possible. This would put you in the 13.9 range.
Dave
i agree dave, the first thing i noticed was 79 MPH at 1/8th and thought well if i had that much speed up, surely I could be putting up better numbers.
the (2) 14.2's i ran the car produced another 20-21 mph to the 1/4 but on the 79mph runs it wasnt there. If it would have been that would have put me in the 99-100 area.
thanks for posting though, it takes away some of the confusion. when i saw 79, i thought hey i must be doing something wrong on 3-4 shift. i got more power, but like you said i was probably in the 76 area like on all the others.
