How many miles do you get per tank/gallon?
How many miles do you get per tank/gallon?
This answer is completely based upon your usage. Manual transmissions will receive slightly better mileage in the city. If you feel you are getting low miles to the gallon the first things to check are you knock sensor and to clean your throttle body. It is also accepted that 91 or above octane is recommended yet this has been battled to death. Many people have tried lower octanes and received less miles to the gallon, therefore offsetting the savings of a lower octane. To give a super rough number of miles per tank, an average seems to be ROUGHLY around 300 miles. Of course, with a few WOT runs, this will be lower, and with all highway it can be significantly higher. It is important to keep track of YOUR mileage and note drastic changes from tank to tank and guess what the cause could be.
