Siren in passenger compartment
Siren in passenger compartment
Guys I been thinking about an idea to put the alarm siren that you would put inside the engine compartment in the passenger compartment.
Imagine an 140dp or higher alarm going off inside the car. With the sound being confined and loud it would be extrimely painful to hear. The thief would not be able to stay inside the car b/c his ears would bleed.
We all know that NOBODY PAYS ANY ATTENTION to alarms. We hear them so many times we ignore them.
Car theives know this. So they ignore them as well. So why not make them feel it where they can do the most damage to us the inside of our cars.
What do you guys think.

I did this on my previous car. I have two 135dbs sirens underneath my dash. Some kids at school thought it would be funny to sit in my car. once i saw they were in it, i set off the alarm and the were out faster then you can imagine. They are EXTREMELY loud and someone can go deaf after less then one minute of them. I thought it was a VERY good idea. I got lots of complement on doing it. I say do it . you wont regret it.
Thanks for the response guys I'm glad to hear that
96white already did this set up and has worked well for him. The idea is not for me since I'm doing a tranny rebuilt and an alarm right now is out of the question $$$$. But I was going to help my freind put in his alarm on Wensday and I told him to put it inside the car. He has a Z3 and dosen't want to mark up the interior so he is still undecieded.
I'll let you guys know what he does

You can hide it underneath the dash and it will not take that much to hold it in. This way it wil be hidden and surprise any thieve or your passengers by accident.
One of my friend did this for his car and it went off on him one time... LMAO!! Just becareful when using it.
