Will It Bolt On !

i'm frustrated i can not find this anywhere .Will the 5 gen variable intake bolt on the 4th gen, (96) with no interference (injectors fuel rails). If it does interfere can i bolt the 2000 lower intake with 2000 injactors and rails and expect it to connect to the 96 connectors for their injectors. If the 2000 VI will bolt right on please tell me because ,i will order the stuff next week. Because all the other stuff will be cake or unnessary.i.e fast idle control solenoids for AC and PS.
Heres the things that need to be switched from 96 manifold to 2000.
1. power brake booster hose ( probably a spot for it already on there)
2. IACV ( i will machine a bracket that it will fit into and bolt on 2000 manifold)
3. I think there is a crankcase breather hose on the front left of the IM (another thing that will probably hook up on the 2000 manifold)
4. Throttle body this is the easiest part ,i can connect any TB to any car.
5. The 2000 probably has a small egr tube i will cut the head off that and weld it to the 96 tube .(half and half of each)

If you have things to add ,please do. I just began to reseach this. Help would be very appreciated.
If you come in here to be negative please find another thread.

Not to be negative, but I am seriously wondering why you are considering this route as opposed to getting a mevi. There is currently a gd for one (or was recently) and a few for sale on the 4th gen for sale forums.

Just tossing out an easier option.

I'm pretty sure he knows about the MEVI. If you have to ask this question, perhaps you should read up on how both the 4th and 5th-gen VI's work and how they affect the powerband.IMO, the MEVI is a half-arsed VI and the 5th gen VI would produce more power at all RPM ranges.

the mevi is a pretty cheap and easy VI system. but its available, and it is a direct fit. so far, you cant beat it.

Like iv'e been saying ,everything people put as problems in doing this are all very easily solved . But i need info on the lower intake manifold. Has anybody actually bolted this to their 4th gen? My ? is do i need the 2000 lower manifold with injectors and the such.
