All the intake do the same thing, the only bad thing with the bomz is the filter it comes with is small. But all the intake serve the same pupose.

So far I'm happy with mine, I've only had it in a few days though. It sounds great, maybe a little bit more power, can't really tell that much, but you can't expect a huge difference from an intake.

I think you're asking the WRONG question? It should be whether all the other brand name intakes are worth it. The answear is of course no. They all do the same thing except you get a BRAND name filter with the more expensive intakes. The brand name filters are of course also overrated. But that's just my opinion and I haven't really seen anything to change it.

there's two kinds of bomz intake on ebay:

1. bomz cai/hybrid with REAL K&N filter
2. bomz cai/hybrid with FAKE K&N filter

as long you picked up the real K&N filter you will be fine. if you pick up the fake K&N filter all you gonna get is "all show no go."

the major way for intake to get more power is through its filter, therefore the size of the filter matters. filter such as JWT and stillen have bigger diameter, and bigger size over all. the midpipe is second priority.

but again, every car is different. the only way to tell is on dyno. so yeap.

yes they are worth it, they are preaty much the same thing but the filter might be crapy but some gains if any, i have one and i glad i did it cause i don't want to spend an extra 100 bucks on that, rather save it and get something else.

how will i know if it has a k&n filter or not? there are a few auctions that says maxima air intake bla bla bla, k&n, but i thought they were just throwing k&n in there so there listing would show up when people searched k&n. and another thing, i still dont know where to get a stillen air filter from, so if anyone has a link to get one, help me out. thanks

If the site says that it is selling a "K&N style" more than likely it's just a imitation. You can just get a K&N intake air filter at auto zone for about $20 (i think). The part # is RU-2820.

As for a stillen intake you can always try this kick @ss web$ite.

lol.. the ebay filter bomz filter is crap. it does not filter anything. it claims to be a k & n style filter but its not even oiled. when a cotton filter isnt oiled, dust collects on the cotton a little bit at first, but whenever u stomp it, all the vacumm pressure sucks in all the dirt into you TB. oil is there becuase it holds the dirt and wont let it slip.. replace you ebay intake asap.

To answer your question, YES they are worth it.. Just change the crap filter to a k&n..I bought my polished CAI for $38, and it looks and performs just as good as the higher price intakes..!

Actually I believe they are better than the Place Racing CAI that I originally bought because it was made of steel, whereas the Bomz is made of aluminum so its lighter and dissipates heat faster. So you gotta buy a filter, you can buy a lot of filters for the diff in price.

actually i was the first few person who bought bomz CAI when it first came out with the "real" K&n filter, but it was a bit more expensive ($70). i also did a review on vqpower.com if you guys wanna check it out.

for those who are lookin for filter, i say go with JWT. courtesy nissan have them for sale $100, so you don't need to get $160+ stillen filter. in addition, JWT is washable, so just pair it up with K&N recharger kit then you'll be set.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/index.html

oh btw i just got my JWT filter i will install it this weekend after school...

I need help choosing the right air intake

alright, they've got the bomz intakes on ebay, but some look like they just will attach to the stock air intake and replace the stock air box. is that what im lookin for, or am i looking to get an entire replacement of the intake, or does it even really matter? ill be having my tax return money next week, so im looking to pick one up that soon, so help asap is appreciated. thanks

here are a few of the auctions for a few different ones. if you guys can, let me know which to go with:

You want #2 or #4 on your list. They are the cold air intakes but can be used in hybrid mode too so you get the best of both worlds for a fraction of the price of a PR CAI.

Hey this is my first post!

What's up everybody, I was wondering if anybody notice a difference in gas mileage since installing the air intake? More, less or about the same.

Thanks - TMaxx

keep in mind that all those intake system does not come with real K&N filter, they are just "K&N style" filter.

I think people might be getting the FILTER confused with the INTAKE. At least I am haha. Having never done this myself, I'm not sure exactly what fits. Can you just put a K&N in the stock Max? Can you just hack the airbox? Or do you have to do something so the good aftermarket filters fit? Also the JWT is washable...how often do you have to replace a non-washable filter? What's the K&N recharger kit?

WARNING!!!!!!!! Whatever you do PLEASE DO NOT even look at the 3rd intake...My friend got this, NO SCREWS, you have to provide your own, it came with ONE hose which didn't even fit, AND the MAF to filter adapter is the wrong one...the adapter is 4" in diameter whereas the filter they give you is a 3"!!! Stay away from the 3rd intake...We ended up paying more because we had to get another MAF adapter and the right hoses. It was a nightmare trying to install it..
