re: car wont start completely

This morning my car wouldnt start.. The engine would rev up then die back down instantly.. I tired to jump start it, didnt work at all.. all my accessories came on including the cd player. I finally started it by turning the engine on with the gas pedal to like 6 or 7000 rpm... I did this twice once in the morning and once at night. What can be the problem? Last month I brought a new battery and a rebuilt alternator which works fine... Any1 have any idea what could be worng?

What year is your car? If its a 99 it might be the immobilizer.

What the CCA of the battery?
I used to have the same problem with stock battery when below 32`F.
No problem after 700 CCA battery installed.
