so the title pretty much explains it, with the exception being that this only happens at slow speeds. at highway speeds it's perfectly fine, with the exception of a bumpy road. So, let's get this started, who thinks they know exactly what the problem is?

 

Where is the sound coming from?

Check your exhaust hangers: go 10mph - flat surface, and stop very quickly, see if you hear a noise then (old bed springs almost).

The problem could also be your struts.

 

The sound is coming from the front end. It sounds like old bed springs now. I'm thinking it's the struts, considering that the ride isn't exactly what it used to be.

Yeah, i got your message. I'm (most likely) going to be in bloomfield on sat getting tinted, so i figure i'll stop by then. Just need directions from route 80 and a phone #.

I got a nice tax return, and if it turns out that i need new struts or springs, i think i'll just get a set of prgress srpings and KYB struts. I'm pretty sure cattman has a deal on them for like $500 together. I dunno, i'll see what needs to be done and go from there.

 

Does it happen when u go over speed bumps or when u push on the hood? It could be the stabilizer bar bushings. If it does, have someone to push on the hood and look underneath the engine from a side of the car for a metal bar going accross the car. There are two bushings connecting it to the engine on each side of the car.
