Works great...

It works great -- I was the first to do it. Many have done it since. There is no noticable performance change. I don't know how or why. I understand what it does and how it affects the car, jsut not why it doens't change things. Anyway, just make syre you have a REAL SOLID ground.

I've heard of this mod before =)

Ryan was the first to do it and then I copied him and took pics. I've heard of many others that have done it too with no probs

VE VTC grounding

Don't worry about it, you have the VG engine so you are not affected. I would check my exhaust studs if I was you.

Attn GBA: THIS IS A IMPORTANT REPLY~~. BE ADVISED THAT DOING THE REWIRE IS GREAT TO GET RID OF THE TICKING/CLACKING NOISE THAT YOUR ENGINE NOW EXHIBITS, BUT..BE FOREWARNED, IF YOU HAVE A 5-SPD LIKE ME ,YOU WILL NOTICE A REAL POWER LOSS IF YOU ARE A PERFORMANCE DRIVER. EX. IF YOU OFTEN RACE PEOPLE FROM THE LINE AT RED LIGHTS AND ARE GOOD AT CLUTCH MANIPULATION YOU WILL NOTICE A GREAT DIFFERENCE, BUT IF YOU DRIVE NORMAL WITH GRADUAL ENGINE SPEED INCREASE YOU WON'T NOTICE A DIFFERENCE EXCEPT BETWEEN 35 AND 50 mph. MY FINAL COMMENT- DO THE REWIRE BECAUSE IT STOPS THAT EMBARRASMENT OF HAVING A CLEAN CAR WITH A TIME BOMB NOISE MAKING PEOPLE GIVE YOU WEIRD LOOKS AND LAUGHS. HAVE FUN WITH THE REWIRE ITS VERY SIMPLE.

the instructions for the rewire are on my site; click on my car below and go to how-to section
i know the pics aren't working right nwo so you have to right click on the little red X where it would be and go to properties, then copy and paste the location for the pic; go back and it should be displayed on the VTC page; repeat for all pics-it takes a little while, but I can't fix the page right now becuase I forgot my password

Johnny Blaze-I don't know what you're talking about. I have a 93SE 5 speed that I did the rewire on. I have and do often drive it very hard from 0-70 or so. I have noticed NO difference in power after the rewire so I don't understand why yours is different. I'm not doubting you, I'm just saying mine is fine.
Others-try the mod; it takes less than 10 minutes and is VERY EASILY reversed if you do for some reason notice a power loss - just cut the wire you attached and tape it back up

Wow...thanks for the quick reply guys. I will try this VTC rewire soon. Anything to reduce the annoying clatter during warm up will help. Again, thanks.
