Deciding on a performace mod, what should I get?

I'm looking to spend under 300 dollars. I have a K&N drop in air filter and I wanna put an air intake in, but I dunno. What do you guys think I should put in and where should I get it?

search on the site on how to make a poor mans CAI and put your money towards a Budget Y pipe. Trust me on this. THere is no better bang for the buck.

I got my CAI from procarparts.com for around $90. Only downside I had with them were instructions, there were non. So I just made it a straight shot intake. Thankfully, the site has a how-to on the CAI where you cut a hole in the fender, and come spring I'm going to do it.

Are you talking about the GD one for $160 shipped? If so, its cheaper than the normal cheapest (budget, which is also thought of as the best value) so if your talking about that, go for it before the GD ends.

well i was thinking of the warpspeed y pipe because they are the only ones that have a 3" that i know off, im going turbo this summer so i mind as well get a 3" now..... im just woundering if i will have any problems later down the road, and are they a good product. The 3" y pipe costs 300$ for the ceramic coated. the aluminized one is like 275 so i would just get the ceramic coated, cause it would probably outlast the aluminized one, especialy down here in utah cause of all the salt and stuff.

For my money, I would do the WSP y-pipe ($160 shipped), get an addco or other RSB (around $125 usually) and maybe a cheap eBay FSTB.

Dont get me wrong there fast little 4cylinder cars, but not fast enough for me(good reaction time). HAHAHAHHA! yeah I gotta run this this guy again. He said that he wasnt trying (yeah right) anyhow watch out for fixed up Cavaliers Z24's I raced one of these guys. I beat him in the quater mile, but after the quarter mile mark, they crawl up beside you, and can occaisonally pass you up a little. Oh well it doesnt count at the track sucker.

here's how i see it according from $$ and performance perspectives...

1. intake
2. y-pipe
3. underdrive pulley
4. b-pipe
5. MEVI + JWT ECU
6. NOS

other stuff you can do to ensure you car are making maximum power:
1. no CEL
2. all sensors working, aka knock, O2s, ECT etc..
3. clean throttle body
4. clean air filter
5. clean idle air control valve
6. all 6 sparks working
7. correct tire pressure
8. lighten your car by taking out uncessary crap

little thing counts, it adds up in the end makes difference.
