couple questions for people with replaced aftermarket flex section...
okie the rattling and bees-in-the-can is getting worse and worse everyday. the y-pipe as maybe 18k already, and i know it's wearing down. i wrapped the flex section with DEI exhaust wrap awhile ago but it's just getting worse. i am considering about replacing the flex section from warpspeed. and here are my questions:
1. did your new flex section still leak, rattles, or bees-in-the-can?
2. how much did you pay for it? do you think it's worth it?
3. how long did they take to weld on a new flex section?
4. do you think it's better just go to local exhaust shop and have them fix it?
thx for all your inputs

Replacing the flex section on my Y pipe has been one of my biggest mistakes I've ever done.
If you are gonna have some shop do that for you, Make sure the shop knows what they are doing.
I'm sure mine is leaking from the top of the pipe. Where is kind of hard to weld.
Make sure that the shop has the same diameter flex as your pipe. I didn't know the difference and now I have a 2" flex.
If you can buy the flex some where else. do It! the shop told me those things cost like 100 bucks. I got home and looked it up on ebay, and it was $19.95.
I paid 80 bucks for the part and labor, and I never felt the gains of my pipe that I got used for 50 bucks
