when i bought my car it had indiglo gauges installed and ever sine i have owned it after 3000 rpms the tach would not move freely any more it just jumps higher 3000 to 3500 then maybe 5000 which isn't real accurate..i tore apart my dash to see if it was hitting anything and its not. what else could be causing this.

 

nothign unlees you got a messed up tach in some way. it is probely the gauges. just take the rpm gaguge off and uses some scothc double sided tape that is flat as possiable. and stick it down real real good. try that and see if that does anything.

 

You probably put the needle back on too tight. Pull the needle up just a hair. It is squished down too far. I had the same problem when I did my first set of white face guages.

 

well i tore it apart again today. i believe the needle was to tight but i also moved the liitle screw to the other side and taped it real good.
