Aesbestos factory wheels
A little while ago, I was cleaning my factory wheels on my 93GXE with my finger, to get the residue brake dust off (darned brush is nearly useless). I then wondered if my brakes were made from the cancer causing material aesbestos. Can anyone answer this, as well as provide a little info on aesbestos brakes, and advice on wheel cleaning?
Lick your finger and see if it tastes like abestos
Most pads are non-abestos now but it's still not a great idea to breath the dust. I wouldn't worry too much about the dust on your finger though.
Hell when I work on my car I usually eat powered donuts. The power forms a protectiv layer of suger that sticks on my fingers and keeps the gunk off when I eat them.

aesbestos?!! probably not these days. with the fear associated with this material i doubt any manufacturer would even play with it.
