How to check your model/trim?

Guys I need to check my model and trim, i remember reading about a certain order or letter in a place in the number below your VIN, but i dont remember what. Reason being, I got my max a few months ago, all the paperwork said SE, i was 100% sure it was a SE everyone said SE, now the insurence card is saying GXE...im thinking its an error on there part but i want to be sure. If anyone knows how to check on this i'd appreicate it.

Does it have the spoiler with the 3rd brake light already in it? Or does it have the 3rd brake light in the window. If its on the spoiler, then most likely, it's an SE. Also, are your door handles chrome? If they are painted body color, its most likely an SE. Is your grille chrome? If it's painted body color, its most likely an SE. Do you have the ****ty steel rims, or are yours the 16 inch 5 spoke? If you have the 5 spoke, its most likely an SE. Those are some things to look for. As far as looking in the vin goes, check the FAQ.

I dont know the exact way for you to check it by using your vin or anything but, here are some things to look at.

GXE- chrome grill, chrome window trim, chrome handles, hubcaps, black faced gauges. Those are the main things, their are many options though...

SE- everything body color (trim, grille, handles), standard spoiler, standard fog lights, 16" rims, white faced gauges

GLE- fully optioned out GXE. Has GLE badge on rear. No standard spoiler/fogs. Standard auto, NO optional 5-speed. Standard Leather, BOSE, etc, etc. Saw blade 15" rims.

Granted things can be changed, but its pretty clear to tell which model is which...

damn you guys are fast thanks a lot, its an SE im happy again , one of the reasons I was seriously concerned was that it didnt have the stock spoiler when i got it, and i thought that was standard in SE's.

Next time, don't post the same thing twice in one day. Go back a page and check if someone replied.
