anyone ever had bad input shaft bearings?

anyone ever had bad input shaft bearings?

mine are bad, I am sure this is what it is. What did it sound like, and how long did you drive it that way? Also how much did you pay to get it fixed?

transmission input shaft bearings or what?

My input shaft bearings went...I noticed a lot of clutch chatter. Also my shift lever wasn't smooth at all...pieces of the bearings droped down into the shift linkage.

I drove with the bad bearings for ~2 months; I developed a leak where the bellhousing meets the block.

I pulled the tranny and brought it to a shop. I paid $500 to have all 6 bearings replaced. Looking back, I'd do 1 of 2 things differently:

1) I'd replace the bearings myself
2) Have a shop do the whole job...get a warranty

My transmission ate itself ~1 month after I had the bearings replaced. RIP
