there was a huge thread where people showed their systems. It's probably a few pages down though. It's been awhile since someone posted pics on that thread.

how do you like the l7's hooked up to te 500/1? and how much did dynamatting the trunk help rattling inside and out?

The pressure that the L7's put out is crazy deep. The Dynamatt not only keeps everything from rattling "like tin cans in the trunk." But also forces the bass waves more towards the front. It does make the bass louder and cleaner. There is still some rattling but for the most part not too bad considering what's back there. I only wish I could get a second 500/1 to put one on each speaker. I highly recommend my setup. It's very, very loud. I've also got 4 sets of seperates. They are not very expesive at all. I think for a pair of 6.5" speakers and seperate tweeters ran me about $40 shipped from E-bay. No one would ever know that both pairs of my highs are under $100. But it is important to use the proper resistors and tuning the X-overs through radio.

It's pretty easy just a P. I. A. and depending on how far you go with it you will scrape your knuckles up. Get a good wooden roller to press it on. I'd say get the Dynamat right off the back. I got a cheap imitation called Fatmat and it sucked. I still had to put Dynamatt to really quiet it. I even had to put Dynamatt in my sunglass holder. 2 layers on the back of the plate, along with one directly on the trunk behind the plate. I had to custom make a bracket for my radar detector. It bounced up and down so much it wore the metal out after a week. It cracked in half it bounced so much. Another note stuff some cushioning in between the rear deck and the liner that sits on top of it.
