4th gen springs with stock 5th gen struts? or maxspeeds on stock struts?

I blew one of my modified AGX struts with Ground Control coilovers.. Now i do not have a replacement strut and i need the car. I'm putting in stock 5th gen struts back and I would like to stay away from the stock height ride..

will the 4th gen springs fit? will they sit a little bit lower than stock?

also
how long till i blow my stock struts with maxspeed springs? and has anyone had any issues with GR2s? I don't want to blow a ton of $$$ replacing my AGXs and i don't even care for the adjustability factor, i never touched them anyways.

sorry for the slew of questions,
thanks

That's probably the reason why you blew them, you're supposed to adjust them so that they don't bounce around and you probably had them too low. Ground Controls are very stiff, so i'd imagine you'd need a solid 3/5 or 3/6 setting on them. GR2's are not as durable as AGX's.

yea.. definitely too low and the roads here are not made for these things. Even if they are on the highest setting, the springs are very short, they barely absorb anything..
I had tried to adjust them but they seized up so i couldn't twist them open. Just now, one of the rear hex key adjustments broke off as i was trying to adjust them.

I have stock 5th gen struts in the front right now with 4th gen springs. Huge wheel gap. And i do not have time to finish the car as i have to go to work.. I will be using someone elses car to get around for now, until i decide what to do...

My question is, should i replace 1 strut or replace them all? or replace just the fronts? One of my front AGXs is dead.
