Radiant Ember still available?

This is my first post here....

I'm considering a 2004 Maxima SE, among other possibilities, and I like the distinctive look of the Radiant Ember paint, a least from the photos I've seen. However, it's not listed as a choice on the "build your Maxima" portion of the Nissan site. Has this color been discontinued, or is it a special order or something?

Thanks in advance.

Like I said, there are still some new ones' in that color on dealer lots. I found more than I thought I would using the nissan search site. If you want that color, get to work and GOOD LUCK!

My dad just lucked out and picked up a RE from a Chicago area dealer about a month ago. They only had 3 from a dealer in Indiana.

The salesguy picked it up for him, had about 100 miles on it. It's an SE black interior 5AT with sunroof. No other options. Just got the OEM rear lip put on.

FUCCIN SWEET ride! We will be switching up quite often!

This is the respond I got from Nissan Motors Corp. last December 03':

Nissan North America responded to my E-Mail. Read the statement below:

Thank you for taking the time to personally contact us about your interest in Nissan products.

According to our model line information, the Radiant Ember was a launch color for the Nissan Maxima, and is no longer offered as an option from the manufacturer. You may be able to find a Maxima in the inventory of a dealership, or ask you dealer if there is any way to track down a Maxima in Radiant Ember in another state.

We hope that this information answers your question, but if you need any additional information or have further questions, please let us know by reply e-mail or by calling 1-800-647-7263 and pressing "0" for a live operator.

Also, make sure to take a look at our website, www.NissanUSA.com, for the most up-to-date product information.

At Nissan, we are committed to a high level of customer service.

Sincerely,

Nissan North America

Y2kMax - What I found funniest about it is that they include that same statement with their respose to everything I ever send them.

But having worked almost forty years in big corporations, I understand how these 'buzz' statements evolve, take on a life of their own, and are sometimes treated almost with reverence by the company hierarchy.

The humor which many customers find in these slogans never gets back to the brass. Too many 'yes' folks at every level.

Truth be known, it is not a bad slogan, except for those who have endured somewhat less than a 'high level of service'. Fortunately, to date, I have received a high level of service from Nissan.

I found my RE maxima on Nissans web site.I wanted the color bad enough so I flew to Tennesse to pick up my car and drove it back to Florida where I live. It was well worth the trip. The color makes the car.

Be aware any RE anywhere will have sat on some lot for between fourteen months (first began producing them Jan '03 for March '03 nationwide introduction) to around eight months (no more REs built since last summer).
