What mod is "Played Out" in your opinion?

This is not a thread to create a flamefest but to see what people's opinions are to modifications.

Personally anything that's blue has gotten to be old with me. I'd rather see white for lighting and polished steel or aluminum for add-ons.

Nissan Maxima is played out. Aluminum is the new trend for auto manufacturers. I guess I can say altezza tail lights.

Its funny you say the lip because I've always felt it looks big and goofy. I know Stealin could have done better.

things might be played out here on the org....but whatever mod person has on maxima thats played out here, might not be played out where person lives & he could be one of a kind w/ it on his maxima....

p.s. i for one say alot of org members have the MM Evo5 rims & i wouldnt call them played out b/c they still look good & also b/c i had them on my max & no other maxima where i live did i see them sporting them....

Yea. It only looks good when you're looking at it head-on. From the side, it's so damn obvious it's an add-on. They didnt even try to make it flow with the bumper on the sides...

One wheel that used to be really played out was Konig Tantrums. The spokes are just too thin for Maximas.

MEVI...too much loss for not enough gain.

you lose midrange and $600.
you get power that is useful very little of the time.

The only uses I think MEVI is good for is NA Autos WITH JWT, OR N20 Maxs, OR SC Maxs, or TC Maximas.

For $600 I'll pass.

Um, yeah, this I would really love to see...

and my Played Out Pick would be the carbon fiber dash kit. Sorry, but I'm not into the whole CF thing...

however, noone has a black marble dash kit yet... that may be my next purchase

Even before you mentioned it, I was really getting bored of blue lights. I'm kinda thinking of getting rid of my 6000k HIDs for something more along the lines of 4300k. Plus they draw a little unwanted attention from the police.

That's what I did. I got rid of my single beam 6000K kit for a 4500K dual beam kit.

you guys who dont like the stillen front lip...does that mean you dont like the entire kit? or just when people buy only the front lip?

cause i have always thought the stillen kit is the only kit i would ever consider putting on my maxima.

The problem isn't the lip or the whole kit for that matter. The problem is that 95% of the members here think exactly like you (no stab at you). I just think the lip is played out. It's too bad that the Stillen kit in general is the only one that's conservative enough for most Maxima owners to appreciate...

For me, its the design of the 97/98/99 Stillen lip. The 95/96 looks much better.

Someone said it best when they said aftermarket spoilers.

Maybe not so much on the Maximas but the ones I see on Civics, Ford Escorts and every other car that gets riced, it is way overdone and looks downright retarded.
