How similar is our engine compared ot a 300zx engine?

v i know they are both 3.0's but what are teh differences between the 2?

i see it days we have lighter engine parts than a 300...do we rev faster? i know many auto mags publish saying 300zx cannot be sitting around at a light when we pull up.

lets say we take a stock 95 300 against a 95 max...would we maxeshave a chance? i did read the thread but it is alittle blurry cause i do nto understand some stuff.

i am not racing anyone i am just courius cause people who talk to me about my car always compare the engine to a 300 saying it is the same and i would at least liek to know what i am talking about. thanks guys.
