Would I really have to cut both the old shock, and new Koni?

And btw, what are the Koni front inserts?

No. They used to be the only option for adjustable struts. Now we have the AGXs and Illuminas which are both less expensive and easier to install.

True but would you support the statement that they are arguably the best struts for our cars?

I feel that the best struts are the Illuminas, and a cheaper alternative are the KYB's.

Doing the Koni inserts takes about 10 minutes with a dremel and drill. I absolutely love my front Konis and I plan on replacing my rear AGX with Konis. The Konis ride very nicely and are arguably the best street/semi-race struts around due to their particular type of valving and tuning. I don't have any experiece with Illumnias, but I'm sure they're good. The AGXs are simply too stiff, harsh, and hard to "dial in" correctly.

I'm under the belief that they are the best performing struts for our car. The best comfort struts would probably lean toward the Illuminas. But yes it is a big pain in the *** to get them in, and if I were to buy struts these days instead of many years ago, I'd probably just buy Illuminas.
