key fob mode change

i just changed my remote key fob mode from mode 1 to mode 2. I want to go back to mode 1, but it won't change. How do I reset to the first mode? (mode 1 - lights flash and alarm horn sounds) (mode 2 - lights flash) Change between modes by pressing lock/unlock buttons at same time on remote key fob

what are you talking about???
from what i know it's impossible to change between modes like that to make the lights flash and have it beep at the same time without doing some rewiring???
please explain further...

Sam, I read by pressing the lock/unlock buttons at the same time(on the key fob) and holding them for about 5 secs, the hazards will flash to confirm you changed your alarm setting to mode 2. The default is mode 1. You can only do this one program - I just need to know how to set it back since my wife is now annoyed(?) that the car horns do sound as a reminder that the alarm is set and the car is locked.

The alarm has 5 modes, the dealership can do the other 3

so if the default in your opinion is one...and you changed it to mode 2...wouldn't that be without the beep according to your theory???

please explain even further....

is this a joke to make people go out to their cars and try it???
just like the window roll up feature?

No joke, when i bought my car the owner didn't have the key. I got one through e-bay - reprogrammed it and the car would lock and the horn sound. As I said, I pressed the 2 bottons and now only the lights flash. My wife's other car is a 2003 Altima and I did the same to her car, now only the lights flash - no horn sound
