Nameless CAI

Is this legit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

This would be my best bet for being able to get a Cold Air Intake, but I don't want to get ripped or buy a piece of junk, so is this the real deal or is it not worth my time/money? Thanks for your help.

Buy it.

It is a Place Racing CAI clone. The only difference is its made of aluminum vs steel (thats good) and it doesn't have the decal.

Deal of the century (other than a Budget Y-Pipe).

You can also use it in hybrid mode as a WAI so its convertible too.

As long as you realize you have to cut a 3" hole in the fender well, to me it means nothing but to some, they almost think it threatens the structural integrity of their car.

Bottom line, its a steal.

PS Almost forgot, the filter is crap and will have to be replaced with the one of your choice.

A company basically buys an expensive product, copies it and sells it for tons cheaper, no research and development had to go into it, plus your not payin for a name. Its a knock off of Place Racing as Jime said, Jump on it.

I got the same one and its raining Really hard today, So i pull over, disconnect the CAI tubing and make it a hybrid short HAI w/ the xtra filter I carry around.

I CAN drive in the rain w/ it. Its ok w/ minor splashes and stuff, but if its gonna flood, I dont risk it. It only takes 2minutes to switch filters. My neighbor hydrolocked his car and it is NOT worth the risk. Alot of people on here say theres no need to worry about it but its a precaution im willing to take. Your other option is a bypass valve
