5th gen headlights - can 5's use 5.5 gen headlights?

I want to install the 5.5 HID headlight assembly's in my 2000 (5 gen) Maxima... is this possible?? I thought I saw it done but was unsure. Please someone let me know! Thanks so much!

yes this can be done. You'll need a harness and some other things. Hope you have good insurance if your in the NE!

do they get stolen alot or something? Where would I find the proper parts? Also, do they fit directly into the holes from the 5 gen assemblies? Thanks so much...

In New York and New Jersey some people had their HID's stolen at least 5 times.

Of course they will fit. Why do you think there is such a big market for stolen HID's from '02 and '03 Maximas? Because the '00 and '01 owners want them for their cars too.
