cigarrette lighter power outlet thingies dont seem to be working

i tried to charge my cell phone and neither the front nor rear cigarrette lighter things wouldnt work. i made sure the charger was pushed in all the way and did a whole lot of jiggling, etc.

nothing.

my first thought is it could just be a blown fuse?

i'll take a look tomorrow

usually with my other cars, i've found it just has a number and theres a corresponding chart in the booklets to show which fuse is which, so i didnt bother looking

also i was wondering if this was a common problem

mine was a blown fuse. had the fuse replaced by the dealer since i was there for other work. they said it's most likely due to cell phone car charger.

I'll go back to the first question that should have been asked... was the car running (or key turned to 'on') while you were trying to charge the phone?
