bose radio in "01 SE

My '01 SE wil be exiting the 36 month warranty in about 1 1/2 months, and the Bose radio has started changing stations at random--on its own. Either there's a ghost in there that doesn't like country music, or something's amiss. Anybody had similar problems? This is the single cd unit, and it's been reliable until now.

Sound's like my mother's Impala. Brought it in under warrantee to the dealer because the clock in the system kept resetting. They swapped out the radio. However, whenever you turned on the headlights the radio would go into scan mode. At first I said how can this be connected? But then I realized there's a wire from the headlight system to the radio to tell the display to dim. Dealer Service manager didn't believe this until I showed it to him.

Dealer swapped out again and the new radio did this too. Took a 3rd radio swap to finally fix it.

Take it into the dealer and get yourself a free replacement

Dealer

Takin it to the dealer would be a better choice, they should be able to change it if it's still under warranty...good luck with that

Not only you should take it in for the stereo, you should also make a laundry list of all the things that are wrong with the car, no matter how small and unimportant it may seem. The dealer usually loves to fix all this stuff because it makes you happy at Nissan's expense.

Good luck.
