for those with AE pedals and door sills

it was bugging me that they didnt match. pedals are brushed aluminum and the door sills are shiny. why wouldnt nissan make them match?

well i made them match!!
took the metal part off of the plastic part and sanded it down with very fine sandpaper. they look just like the pedals now and the maxima stands out better because it is still shiny. i dont have pictures but like i said, looks just like the pedals . and it matches my brushed aluminum dash kit too.
this is the sandpaper i used

damn that does look good. I will have to do it when I get my AE doorsills....so is the AF paying you all that money just to sit around and think of creative ways to further mod your mods?

thats why i get paid the big bucks
when i ordered them i figured they would match the pedals since they are both part of the "AE package". so i wondered if using sandpaper would make them brushed aluminum. seemed right to me and it turned out!!

Woah, this is one of those rare instances when a 50 cent mod looks sick. Great idea, and great work! This is also a great mod for people like me who have a few scratches on their sills they'd like to hide...Plus I'd imagine these won't show dirt and smears so badly.

I just ordered a set from http://www.jerryromenissan.com/ (over the phone). They were $48 shipped. Waiting for them to show up next week.

yup, it was very cheap but looks ALOT better.
as far as the scrathes..mine were on for 3 weeks and already had them!!
now if i see any scratches i can just rub it down with sanpaper again to fix it
one problem, they actually smudge worse. especially fingerprints from when i installed it. since the surface isnt smooth, oil from your fingers sticks worse cause it gets in the grooves. i had to use windex to clean them.
im trying to find a cleancoat spray. one that will cover and make surface smooth but not have a shine
