Has anybody ever gotten there key reprogramed?
Saturday night went out with some friends and lost my keys and alarm remote. Called AAA and they sent a locksmith who can reprogram keys on the spot and have you a new key with no problems. So he made me a new key for 75$ , well called the place where i lost them at and they found my keys that i lost! Great!!! So i picked them up, and when i tried to use them my car wouldn't turn over, it was like the car had a dead battery. So i used my new key , and the car started right up!
So my question to you all, can Nissan some how reprogram my old key to work? And how much do you think they will charge for it , if they can do it?

Thats not bad, even 50 bucks isn't to bad...... i was thinking more like 135, now thats bad!
I will call my Nissan dealership in a bit , to see how much. But for a second key just for 75$ bucks i think made off like a fat rat, because i know a second key is in the price range of 150 and up depending on dealership.
Made me think if i ever buy a car again that has chipped keys , i will just call this guy and have him make me one, 75$ is a lot better than 150 and up! My friend just bought a STS caddy, his second key was $225. OUCH!!!!!!
The guy was cool he said thieves hate our cars for that simple reason, its a pain to start our cars and drive away like the Hondas, Acuras, etc. He said Nissan switched all there cars to the chip keys in 99, so to try and steal a nissan car from 99 and up is almost impossible. Because without that chiped key you are not going anywhere fast!
